Final Thoughts: Ask for Help
If you just cannot seem to learn the work yourself, get some help. If you have, say, a French test tomorrow and need to know a selection of vocabulary, get someone to ask you. This is much more effective than just staring at the page and hoping that, by osmosis, it will transfer into your brain. You think sharper, faster and in a more concentrated way with this kind of interactive leaning.
It doesn’t matter if you’re in sixth year or in first year, this works — try it!
‘He who is afraid of asking is ashamed of learning.’
Danish Proverb
Sometimes you may become overwhelmed. Getting help is often the solution, but asking for help can be difficult. Learn to take the pressure off yourself and ask for what is needed. You’ll save yourself from stress and gain more time.
