Making it Happen: Sample Planning
Step1
Revision Aims: Week 1
Use this plan to get you started in week one. For each of your subjects, write down what you want to get done by the end of the week.

Now you need to decide what you are going to do to make these aims a reality. When you are filling out the planner below, keep in mind the following:
- Leave 1-2 rest days. At the start of the school year, two rest days are fine. Closer to exams, allow just one.
- Decide on three specific things that you are going to do in each study session.
- Start off these three things with words like learn, write, prepare, revise, plan. These words imply action and that you are going to get something clearly done.
- Avoid words like go over, go through. These are very general and how long exactly are you going to be going through things? How long is a piece of string! Exactly — it can be endless! Structuring your revision means a beginning, middle and most importantly an end!
Remember the ABC rule.
